became the 24th state admitted to the Union on
August 10, 1821, and ever since then the state
has had both Southern and Midwestern cultural
influences. The name of the state comes from the
Missouri River, which divides the two major
sections of the area, one section being the
plains and the other being the Ozark Mountains.
Among the major industries of the state are
aerospace and transportation equipment. One of
the state's two major airports is the
Lambert-St. Louis International Airport, which
is the fourth largest worldwide hub for American
Airlines. The other major airport is the
City International, which was ranked number 1
among medium sized airfields in the J.D. Power
and Associates 2007 North America Airport
Satisfaction Survey. The state's capital is
Jefferson City, named after Thomas Jefferson,
and the largest city is Kansas City.
Pilots moving to Missouri can expect to see a
beautiful area complete with many flights that
need to be planned. The area is too large and
full of life to not explore and enjoy it for
what it's worth. Consider relocating to
Missouri, where you will never regret the
Open and wooded lot. Great for home and hanger or hanger home. Very nice paved and grass runways. Very nice air park community. Paved deeded access to runways. 2200 ft paved runway. Lot has been cleared for building. Short drive to Troy Mo.
