Idaho,
known throughout the country as the place to get
potatoes, is truly an unrecognized gem of a

Lake Pend Oreille, Hell's Canyon (the deepest
gorge in America) or the winding Snake River

the year, and, in the winter, amazing skiing
opportunities at either Schweitzer Mountain or
Sun Valley. There are also a number of

accessed from Grangeville, the Bruneau Canyon
Overlook, Soda Springs, the Lava Hot Springs and
the Heaven's Gate Lookout (from which sightseers
can see four states from one spot)!
The state was admitted to the Union on July 3,
1890, becoming the 43rd state. There is so much
